beautiful greetings to all of you!!
i have posted a few times now about a benefit that i have organized here in cincinnati, ohio in honor of animal rescue new orleans. i wanted to update the post that i most recently posted > >
> I have a venue. I personally paid for a venue at a local hall here in Cincinnati,Ohio. It has a stage space and a large kitchen with a serving window!!
> I wrote back to The Recipe's booking manager and told him that I do not want to pay for a band - that I want all the money from the benefit to go directly to Animal Rescue New Orleans. $1,000 is a lot of money to a grassroots organization like A.R.N.O. IF a band is going to play they have to play pro-bono.
> I ~HAD~ a band lined up anyways, a small local band. It would've been nice to have a larger band too though - and just two bands instead of one to add some variety in the music at the benefit.
> Today though that band wrote back to me and said they forgot that they were already booked for a benefit in kentucky for a free-store!!!
> I have written to SEVERAL different bands to try to get someone to come and play!! DOES ANYONE KNOW A KIND-HEARTED, BAND with a POSITIVE, FAMILY ORIENTED vibe that might be willing to play at the benefit??
> Also, I have been writing to sooo many different places to try to get vegan food donated. I really want to be able to serve vegan food for suggested donations. The kitchen at the venue has two ovens and ten stove burners!!
>The serving window is perfect for this idea - part of the reason I picked this hall!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYONE/ANYWHERE THAT WOULD BE WILLING TO DONATE VEGAN FOOD to the benefit FOR A HEADCOUNT OF 200 +/- people?!!! Thank you!!
Once again, this benefit is taking place here in Cincinnati,Ohio.
May blessings be abundant for all of you!
With love'n'light
