Has anyone seen the new season of this show? I watched it last season and I really enjoyed it. However, I haven't been able to see any of this seasons. I am wondering if Danny and Gretchen are still together or if they seperated.

I watched it a couple of weeks ago and she did kick him out. I can't figure out if this guy is that screwed up or if he felt he needed to be back in the public eye.

It sure seems like he's playing up for the camera, but he sure is a tragic figure. BTW, I think it's "Breaking Bonaduce" not "Being Bonaduce."

Great Title :clapping:
What a real waste of life he turned out to be, he seems like he is his own worst enemy.

I was able to watch two episodes the other night as for they were reruns. He is pathtic. I can't believe he has stooped to the level he has. I used to listen to him on the radio when he was a morning Dj here in California about 3 years ago. I thought he had it together but I guess not.

I wonder how much of his childhood stardom made him what he is today, or if he was simply destined to be self-destructive.

I don't think it had much to do with his childhood stardom, accept maybe he found being in the public eye as a way to get attention. I think his problems stem from his abusive father, people who did nothing about it, and an addictive personality.

We don't watch TV, so I'm not up to date on Danny. What exactly does he do that's so terrible?
Isn't he getting up there in age by now? What is he, at least 46?
Fill me in!

He is into drugs and alcohol. Danny is bipolar so he does alot of crazy things. Believe me you are not missing anything.

I saw him on Dr. Phil last week and he really looked rough, all the drugs and booze has really made him look old.
I think he is beyond the point of changing his lifestyle, and I wouldn't be suprised if we hear of his death in the not to distant future.

I can't believe I actually watched an episode!
My opinion is that this is Bonaduce's "schtick". His only talent seems to be promoting himself by any means necessary, including public humiliation.
I feel sorry for his kids, as I can't see that his wife is any better. What I saw on that show was child abuse. He even had his kids pointing guns at a woman walking her child in a stroller. They are foul mouthed little cretins just like him. Where are the cops?
They seem to be taking quite good care of themselves, actually. Not a bad lifestyle for a drugged out bipolar alcoholic, if you ask me.
Yuck!!

I'm just wondering if by doing this show and dragging his kids into it he may be fashioning them into the same situation he eventually wound up in.

Wow - that sounds like something I'd like to see!
No, seriously - this is one reason why we don't have TV. It's a waste of time, because there really are alot of useless things to watch.

Yeah eldragon, I really have to be careful with TV and not let watching one show turn into watching a bunch of shows. It is quite an addiction.

I feel bad for the kids, too. But, I haven't seen aything that appears to be abusive. You can't be arrested for being a bad example or for putting your family thruough emotional trauma due to your addictions. The dude is an absolute mess and Gretchen isn't much better because she knew years ago who he is and what he does and continues to put up with it. But, I really do think he cares about his family and wants to change. Maybe we should give him a break.

Good point, although it is kind of hard to give someone a break when they air their dirty laundry on TV like that.
