Marlon Brando's son has refused to answer questions in the wrongful death civil case against actor Robert Blake over the killing of Mr Blake's wife.
Christian Brando, 46, invoked the Fifth Amendment for some questions at the court in Burbank, California, to avoid possible self-incrimination.
Mr Brando had a relationship with Bonny Lee Bakley before she married Mr Blake.
A jury in March cleared Mr Blake, 72, of murdering Ms Bakley, 44, in 2001. Her family is bringing a civil case.
Ms Bakley was killed outside a restaurant in Los Angeles in May 2001.

Seems like Robert Blake was arrested a long time ago...like years! When was he arrested and is this taking longer than usual?

Who knows what's going on in the jury room. I hope there isn't a hung jury!

Whoa!! This is a tense one!! I'm going to put on Court TV today and keep an eye on this one.
I was following the Sarah Johnson murder trial on CTV and her guilty verdict came in right before Robert Blake's innocent verdict. I think they were only a few hours apart.

I was pretty taken by the contrast in the two verdicts, because I thought that their was a heck of a lot more evidence against Blake than there was against Sarah Johnson. I felt a bit uncomfortable that it seemed that Blake's "star power" gave him an edge over some previously unheard of kid in Idaho.
But, all things considered, I thought they were both guilty. I still don't think Sarah got a fair trial though. On the other hand, I didn't watch the Blake trial blow by blow, so it's hard to say. There's a big difference between getting news coverage on a trial and actually watching the whole thing.
I'm still interested in that trial, I'll probably open a thread on it soon.

The Jury has made a decision after 28 hrs of deliberation over 8 days. This is not going to be released until 1pm PT. I'm keeping my eye on this and will post the verdict as soon as I hear. The waiting and waiting.

Brando ended up incriminating himself when he walked off the stand, went over to the jury box. He pointed to Robert Blake and said "He did it". I understand that what Christian said was actually much worse than that but the language obviously can not be repeated here.

This is not true. He pointed BEHIND his hand and whispered "guilty" according to several people who attended the trial. He absolutely did NOT incriminate himself. That is laughable. You sound like Hoopa...always wrong.

Whatever Brando did was enough for him to be charged with contempt.
It will all be revealed.

I also attended the trial and I know what he did.

I find it of great significance that in 2002 Joey Bakely is on tape bragging that he is going to be getting all of Robert Blake's money.
Almost everything involving the Bakely's, tapes, documents etc. mention money.
