Dave Holloway, father of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, has returned to Aruba to personally take part in an offshore search with the help of Texas EquuSearch volunteers and investigators in Aruba.

Holloway has said many times in interviews that Aruban investigators should go back to the beginning and start the investigation over and that may be exactly what is happening now that Gerold Dompig, a new deputy police chief, is on the case. "He says he's going back to the beginning and going forward from there," Dave Holloway said.

Thanks for the update, Nandee. This is a very frustrating case. It would be great to think that someone in Aruba is actually invested in getting it resolved.

From what I know, there doesn't seem to be much question about what actually happened, so something is hugely amiss here.

Did you hear anything about the Kalpo brothers holding their tongues until they find a way to get paid for their testimony?

I guess I'm wondering why these guys, the Kalpos and Vandersloot, aren't under enormous social pressure at least to cooperate and come clean.

It's really hard to figure out how this case has become such an amazing mess.

This is a case that has turned some posters into..the ugliest people. I was shocked at some of the google blogs out there on this case: their mamas must be proud!


I cannot imagine what any parent would be going through not to see their child when they want to. Not knowing where, why, how, who, what happened would be torture all day long. Beth Twiity has been bashed in ways that have confused even me. The venom I have seen thrown at this woman for missing her daughter is unexplainable and inexcusable.


She has been blamed for the media coverage on her daughter while others are forgotten yet it is the public that should be blamed for they dictate to the media what entertains them, noy a sad desperate mother!

The media itself is to blame for what story they deem woethy enough to air and nor to air, not a sad depaired mother.

AS a mother myself I would never want to even think what it would be like...I know if I just do not speak with my son in days I ache for just sound byte of his voice to let me know he is okay....I created him, he is part of me..a missing child must be like a phantom limb...it aches and pains but nothing visible to to be had...

Beth has been attacked for not acting as quietly as Dave..is that much like women sitting with her legs open....I was so glad to see the day he started getting angry and I waited for the fake moral outrage to pour out against him too...it never came.....

I do hope that they all find peace soon as I hope and wish this for all families looking for loved ones ...

I have not understood any of the vehemence against Beth. But, then
I don't subscribe to the cult of personality. Evidently, some people just don't like Beth and that is more than enough reason in their minds to be against her.

I like modern technology, but not all modern thinking.

We have lost respect and replaced it with personality. There was a time when you might have disagreed with your neighbor's politics or religion, but you respected her because she swept her stoop, took care of her family, volunteered locally. Today, there is little respect. I hear the comment all the time "I don't know what it is, but I just don't like her." And people lie about others they don't like, in order to somehow justify their feelings.

It is very sad. And because of the cult of personality replacing respect, Beth Twitty is victimized again and again.

WE are regressing it seems not advancing in our ability to be 'civilized'...we have misused our technology and so-called evolved way fo life and we have become less for it..
