I've drunk a whole pot (smallish pot - yield was 2 1/2 mugs) of decaffeinated green tea today.
Is this bad?

NO! Green tea consumption is in fact good for your health since its pure herbs. It can even help you loose weight or do some good effect on your digestive system. I would personally want to try it for myself but I just can’t take their taste.

I have heard that green tea is very healthy. I have tried it to lose weight and actually I can say that it did great wonders for me. Metabolism has increased and I feel better drinking it. Actually green tea can come in a capsule form, liquid and tea forms but I've heard that the tea is much effective and has better effects.

I agree, green tea is indeed very healthy for the body. In fact in Japan, people there are used to drink a whole lot of green tea. They don't drink much coffee or other drinks but they still go for the green tea. They say they have certain chemicals that aids in digestion and other diseases.

No. As others have mentioned there's evidence that green tea is actually good for you. I wouldn't recommend drinking quarts of it, or of anything else, for that matter. I'm curious about why you thought it might be bad for you? Especially after you'd already drunk it.

I really need to start drinking more green tea. I even have a box of decaf green tea here, so it's just a matter of remembering to make it now.

I don't think 2 1/2 mugs of anything edible would actually hurt you in any way. I can't stand the taste of green tea though... I'll stick with black or Earl Grey - which some studies say is almost as good as green tea - antioxidant wise.

I love all teas! Green is a nice change. I dont think you could find anything wrong with tea in general. I do remember having a friend that thought drinking to much of one thing was bad for his kidneys so you never know the poster could think it could have some effect like that. :)

I just recently tried Green tea for the first time and I actually really liked it. I was surprised that I liked it because a lot of people I know cannot stand it.

I like green tea. I usually add just a small amount of sweet n low to give it a little sweetness. I really enjoy drink Chai tea but not sure if it is as good for you as the green tea. I have a friend who lost weight from drinking green tea.
