I heard about this on the TV, and quite frankly, I'm rather against it too. Why did she have to pick this child who already has a father? With her millions, she could help the father and the child have a good life together. And wouldn't that be better?
The whole thing smacks of a gigantic EGO.

One big reason groups are against Madonna adopting this boy (who, by the way is already in England with her,) is that she avoided lengthy waits and basically pushed through the system to adopt, while other couples are on lists for years to adopt.

Now, she has donated $3 million to his village to build an orphanage, and kudos to her for that. Why she thinks she needs to adopt this little kid is beyond me.

Especially when he does have a father. What about his heritage? Sure, he'll have a life with everything money can buy, but what about the thousands of other orphans who weren't chosen?

Its not like she is even going to raise this child. She has Nannies that raise her children for her. She only went to the country to pick out the one she wanted like a puppy. Sorry but i dont feel it was a sincere effort to really help over a publicity attempt.
