ok, so here is the more to come...so we had the confirmation of the 17th Chief Justice yesterday...historic moment in the history of our Nation, quite, yet once again, Sen Kerry chose to be absent...allbeit a 'nay', yet absent, once again...

Sorry, but as I crossposted for Lets Roll, I couldn't help but to post the above...I was quickly and vehemently IM'd with..."you should watch something other than Fox News..." in reply, I said, "Yes, they certainly should have said Absent, but voting 'nay'. Sorry if I offended. But the point is, and cannot be discounted, Kerry was still absent..." He never wrote back. oops. Case where thinking twice and speaking once did not prevail, thinking twice and speaking twice did.

You're welcome, and we look forward to more to come! You're living proof that it isn't only liberals who have hearts! ;)

I missed that on the news! Looks like we need a thread to discuss the Supreme Court Appointments in the Current Events Forum. Anyone can start a new thread, so please feel welcomed to do so on any topic that is of interest. As you say, yesterday's confirmation is an historic moment.

I guess it's impossible to have an opinion that doesn't offend someone, so my thought is, don't let fear of that stop you from making a valid observation!

It is quite interesting that Kerry absented himself from the confirmation process. What does that say about what kind of a President he would have made? Or should I say "would make" since it seems that he's re-grouping for another stab at it next time around!
