What is to become of New Orleans? Will the majority of evacuees ever return to life as it was, and will the unique culture and flavor of that celebrated city be restored?
Or is New Orleans fated to become a Disney-like version of itself, a high end tourist attraction and city of upscale housing, while the former residents are relocated to remote trailer parks and scattered across the country?

I think it will eventually return to it's original state but not after vigorous work and a lot of time to restore it. But i don't think it will ever completely recover.

Faucet, you're like a pessimist and an optimist all rolled into one! I kinda like that! Are you a Libra?
I think that New Orleans is being bought up by speculators. It will take time, but I think it will be restored, but never again the way it was. The "real" people will never be able to go back I don't think.

I don't have a problem at all with rebuilding New Orleans, but can't they move it a little. It's so vulnerable in that spot and to me if they build it in the same spot they're asking for a disaster again in the future.
