What?s Happening Now for the Animals?
Information in and out of the affected areas is spotty at best, but here?s what we know so far and what we are doing to help:
Requests for Help
We?re hearing from people who had to leave animals behind and we?re working with other humane groups to get help to these animals as soon as animal rescuers are allowed to go in.
If you know of an animal needing help in an area hit by the hurricane, please e-mail, or call 240-482-1997 with the following information:
Your Name
Phone Numbers (call and land lines, if available.
Exact street address, including apartment numbers, city, and zip code where the animals are located.
How many animals - what species; what size; what color, markings and distinguishing characteristics?
Are they your animals or your family's or your friend's?
All additional details about the animals that can be supplied to the rescue workers will be helpful.
