The Red Cross is looking for drivers who love a good road trip and would like to help out fellow citizens stranded in Baton Rouge, La. Volunteers would transport evacuees from the River Center (the main shelter in Baton Rouge) to various parts of the U.S. Destinations include Georgia, Florida, Texas, California, Mississippi, and more.
If you are interested, please contact the Red Cross Transportation Office at 225-343-1310. You will only be asked to transport registered River Center residents.
