I have uploaded our Missing Persons database to the official Persons DB at http://www.KatrinaList.com
I also removed the abiltiy to add to our database and am directing traffic to KatrinaList, in order to avoid redundant info. KatrinaList appears to be just what we're looking for - a truly centralized database.
Our Persons datsbase can still be updated with comments and status, and those who have signed up for notification of change of status will still be notified, if the update is on our DB. I will be talking with the folks at KatrinaList this evening and will discuss with them the possibility of added the notification feature to the master database.
I also want to see if they (or we) can extend this central database idea to other areas, such as jobs, pets and shelters.
