I know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I really don't have much of an appetite in the mornings. What would you recommend I eat? I try to eat a piece of fruit, some yogurt, or a small bowl of cereal usually.

I like granola bars because I can eat them during the car ride, that way I don't have to eat 'first thing' in the morning. Cereal nevers fills me up properly--I'm usually hungry again within an hour or so. Have you tried a breakfast shake? There's quite a few on the market nowadays. I used to drink a SlimFast shake in the morning; that was pretty good and went down easy.

I have the same problem. I'm not really hungry till mid morning which almost classifies as lunch. I know i should be jump starting my body by eating something in the morning but most days i wait till i feel the hunger pings.

I heard that grapefruit and fruits are great in the morning to start the body burning the calories.

Doesn't it make sense to wait to eat until you're hungry? I'd have a snack of yoghurt or a piece of fruit if I didn't want to start my day on an empty stomach, then eat more later when my body wanted more.

I'm not an expert, but I'd say that what you are eating is fine.

Those sound like good ideas to me. I don't always grab something that's
normally thought of as "breakfast food" necessarily... (i.e. if there's a slice of
pizza leftover from dinner). If I don't eat, there's a blood
sugar problem in a few hours, but it's certainly not always an egg or
oatmeal or anything considered traditional.

I'm trying to incorporate breakfast. Currently I take a vitamin with a big glass of chocolate milk! :jump:

I've done this in the past, but then I realized that they have like 180 or 200 calories. If I have a piece of toast with orange juice, or even an egg and OJ, it's actually less calories. The shakes have a lot of nutrients, though, so it's not a bad idea at all.
