Is there anybody else here who watches or used to watch wrestling, either from the WWE or other extreme wrestling shows? I know wrestling in the case of the WWE is purely entertainment, that is, scripted. Still, I find the show's story amusing. For example, the smaller Rey Mysterio actually won over the big men to capture the title of World Heavyweight Champion. Funny how he manages to make almost all of his opponents kneel down over the ropes so he can give the 619. :D

I used to watch WWE because my ex-bf did. It was alright...just not a show I'm dying to see now :) Someone from my hometown was a fast rising star and did a few appearances with WWE, so I had a reason to watch, but he's had to bow out now because of medical problems (cancer).

Oh, that's too bad. He might have made it big. But Kurt Angle recently resigned--or was released--from the WWE because of medical conditions, too. I wasn't surprised when he said wrestling for six years has taken its toll on his body and mind. Even it was scripted, the constant battery the wrestler's body takes definitely risks it for medical complications. And then there was Eddie Guerrero, the funny one. Overdose of pain killers could have been the reason he died.

My husband watches wrestling all the time. Its began to grow on me. Eddie was the best and my all time favorite! What a sad loss!
I was also a big fan of Stone cold..yumy:jump:

I don't know, Peabug...my husband watches it too and I just find it a major annoyance. The acting makes me cringe.

Me and my husband as well with my little brother watch this. Of course we know that it’s a pure joke but still it’s funny! Among the wrestler, I like Batista most, not to mention the fact the he’s a real cutie!
