I totally fell in love with Kyra Sedgwick's offbeat character in The Closer last summer, and I can't wait for the premeire of the new season July 7. Anyone else going to be watching it?

It's a police prodedural/drama with a great ensemble cast headed up by Kyra Sedgwick as a quirky, sorta scattered interrogator whose speciality is getting people to confess to crimes that they committed. She is - the character, that is - by turns blunt, hardnosed, disarmingly disorganized, charmingly friendly and down-home intelligent and --- oh, heck, she's your best friend if your best friend was a detective brought in to solve cases that no one else can. She has an ongoing affair with a journalist/reporter who is constantly left baffled and dismayed as she pushes him back to arm's-length at one moment and clings to him like a little girl the next. She's one of the most real characters on television. I think - if memory serves - that The Closer will be premiering their new season on the USA network on July 7. Give it a watch and tell me what you think :)
