Need help filling out information on Resources for the Aftermath of Hurricane Katrina on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resources_for_the_Aftermath_of_Hurricane_Katrina
This is the only way I can think of where everyone can have permission to change what is there. Information is needed for the whereabouts of shelters, soup kitchens, etc, for evacuees to go to in every city, starting from the nearby states. Everyone pick a city and do an online search for local aid organizations, and give them a call! Find out what their situation is (can they help evacuees or are they overwhelmed already), and post their phone number, address and current info (please be brief) on Wiki. Also find out if they are taking list of people offering their homes, and also if they need volunteers and accepts donations (monetary and goods, please list which). Once we have a good database to work with, the drivers can have easy access to pick up and drop off locations, and they can arrange the logistics with these organizations themselves without wasting their time to find out who can help them. I can not stress the importance of compiling this information and keeping it updated. So please help!
(sorry about the cross posting. Thought this place would be a lot more appropriate)
