Are the Simpsons still fun to watch?
I have not seen new episodes in 2 years, I was wondering what everyone still thinks of the Simpsons now?

I think The Simpsons is still a great show. I have a couple of the old seasons on DVD. The new shows aren't as good, but I still like them. The movie is coming out next year. I can't wait!

The new ones aren't as good? That is a shame! :(
Homer still has his old sense of humor though right?
They must be doing something right if the show is still going :)

Although I'm not a great fan, I think the Simpsons will always have a huge audience. It really is a groundbreaking show.

Good to know I'm not alone in my 'Homer habit'. My husband groans whenever he sees me watching it. Funny, but I never got into the show too much in its early days. Now I watch it because it's a simple kind of funny and helps me unwind.

I had no idea that they were making a movie! Is that for real?

Yes, due in July 07, I believe.

I think the show was in a slump for a couple of years, but within the last two seasons it's back on top again. I will always be a fan.

Oh cool, a movie! My husband will be happy to hear that. We still watch the Simpsons, two episodes every day on FOX. We all sit down, kids too, and watch it together. It's a great daily habit. :jump:

I love the Simpsons. I think it's actually gotten better as time has passed they have a very intelligent sense of humor, and I love how they always comment on popular culture.

I hate the other 2 animated shows they have out right now though: Family Guy, & American Dad though.

I love the Simpsons. I don't know it doesn't really matter if its repeated to me. I just like that cartoon very much. Actually, my daughter enjoys that too, but she's too young for that, and I believe this cartoon is for adults not for children.:pals:

I love the one where Homer is conviced Bart is gay purely because I find the gay steel mill hilarious!

"Hot stuff coming through!"
"We work hard, we play hard..."

*Everybody dance now!!!*

hahahahahaha!.. makes me laught just to think about it!

One of those shows on tv I so eagerly wait for when I was a kid. Watching Simpsons was a habit for me. I loved the humor but now that I'm all grown up, I think The Simpsons shouldn't be watched by kids. It is too brutal and little kids shouldn't be exposed to that.

The Simpsons couldn't be any better. Their still that funny bunch of family you remember to watch during earlier years. truly the animator and the writer of this cartoons is very creative. If they don't go tired of creating episodes I wouldn't mind watching them until I am too old to watch movies. Their still as cool as ever. But I just wish the Simpsons would also evolve, like bart having his own family and all that. It would be more fun I think.

I practically grew up watching the yellow-skinned dysfunctional family run around their daily routines and encounter every normal family would have - mostly caused by the bumbling Homer Simpson, of course. To me this show is a timeless classic, no matter demented, every episode is really a good 30 minutes off my stressful day.

And also, since I got The Simpson season DVDs (I’ve been watching my eyes out) I get to some fairly clear comparative analysis. The values are still there, the animation is a hell lot smoother, now that a Korean animation company has taken over, compared to the older seasons’ crude in between panels and rough drawings. So yes, I’d have to say that The Simpsons

What do you guys think about the Simpsons now? I love some of the newer stuff, the comedy has become much more random however with its 400th episode about to show on Sky 1, do you think its about time The Simpson family was put to rest?
