I've heard that protein is both filling and burns more calories to digest than carbs and fats. I know the filling part is true (at least for me), but does anyone know whether digesting protein really burns more calories? And if so, does it make a difference?

Protein needs to be balanced, along with carbs and fats. Too many of one is not a good thing and will often leave you feeling hungry. Carbs often have fiber for a full feeling, but are good combined with some fat or protein for lasting hunger relief.
