Did anyone watch this last night?

Oh, no!

BARDONECCHIA, Italy (AP) -- Lindsey Jacobellis had the Olympic women's snowboardcross won, and then -- incredibly, inexcusably -- she made one last move on the next-to-last jump and fell.

She lost.

While I'm sure it was a very humbling experience for her, there isn't much excuse for losing the Gold like that.

I was watching and I honestly sat there for about 10 minutes in shock at what I saw, and amazement that someone would pull such a stunt.

It was compounded by her first interview after the event in which she denied showboating. :help:

Kind of reminds me of when Apollo Ono, the speed skater, was in second place on his second run and was trying to pass the guy from Japan and some how lost his balance and ended up coming in last. If he had just had the patience, he would have won the gold.

I think some of these athletes get so caught up and see how close they are to winning that they push to hard. But just making it to the Olympics makes them all winners to me

 Hi LightHeart!

Yes, patience is a virtue, or so I hear. That's one of the reasons I want to learn yoga.
